Jalen Warren

Jalen played in the 2016-2017 season with LBA.

Rated #5 JUCO player in the US in 2017-2018.

Jalen has committed to Florida Gulf Coast University (NCAA D1) for the 2019-2020 season. Jalen will complete his final year of eligibility at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Kur Jockuch

In high school at St. Andre Bessette in London, Ontario Kur helped lead his football team to back-to-back championships.

Kur is originally from South Sudan and has three sisters and a brother.

After switching from football to basketball and playing with LBA for only one year, Kur committed to Northern Colorado University and has been an integral part of their team ever since (NCAA D1).

Josh Inkumsah

Averaged 12.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in his last season with LBA.

Helped London Basketball Academy go 10-6 in the 2016-17 season and 7-5 in the 2017-18 season for the Western Conference of the National Preparatory Association in Canada.

Josh completed his Freshman and Sophomore years at Purdue Fort Wayne University (NCAA D1).

Josh will be returning to Canada to complete his final 3 seasons at Ottawa University.

Okay Djamgouz

Okay held multiple NCAA D1 offers.

Because of his ability to shoot the ball, he was able to re-class from 2020 to 2019, and accept a scholarship to Drake University (NCAA D1).

As a 17-year-old playing in the NCAA, the sky is the limit for Okay.

Jackson Mayers

After playing for LBA for 1 season, Jackson committed to Laurier University and was named the “Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Year” in his Freshman season.

He is an extremely versatile player and at 6’3 has the ability to make shots, score off the dribble, defend, and rebound.

He is a tireless worker and will continue to have an outstanding career at Laurier.

 

michael matas

Michael Matas was a valued 3-year member of LBA. A tough guard at 6’8 where he could dominate inside or step out with extended 3-point range. He was a great competitor since day one where he battled 6’9 Kur Jockuch, 6’10 Atiki Ally Atiki, 6’9 Flynn Gilmour, and 6’8 Isaac Krueger. Michael benefited from these tough bigs to dominant in his final year with LBA.

Michael accepted a scholarship from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He is going to accomplish great things at the NCAA level and beyond.

Isaac was arguably the toughest player to ever play for LBA. Isaac was a strong and agile 6’8 where he could defend on the perimeter and in the paint. He was also a versatile offensive player where he had a solid low post game, could step out to the 3-point line, and also put it on the floor to finish strong at the rim.

Isaac is currently attending Queens University where he has made an immediate impact on the Gaels as a Freshman. Isaac has helped the Gaels become a Top 10 team in Canada in a short period.

 

jordan nelson

Jordan made an immediate impact on the LBA program with his explosiveness and ability to run the court. Jordan was an unselfish point guard that had LBA peaking in wins before the season was cut short due to COVID.

Jordan accepted a scholarship at New Mexico Military Institute. He was a promising basketball career at the NCAA Division 1 level and beyond.

 

atiki ally atiki

Atiki originated from Tanzania and was a valuable 3-year member of the London Basketball Academy. Atiki showed steady improvement in strength and skill each year. His hard work in the weight room lead to gaining 40 lbs in 3 years. He graduated with a solid right and left hand hook shot, ran the court well, and was a tremendous defensive presence with his rebounding and shot blocking ability.

Atiki accepted a scholarship at a NCAA Division 1 Top 20 program, Brigham Young University. He has had an immediate impact as a Freshman and will continue to improve his game as the team transitions to the very competitive Big 12 Conference in 2022.

 

cam slaymaker

Cam was one of the most talented and dedicated LBA players. He had a tireless work ethic which led him to being touted as the “best shooter in Canada in the 2021-2022 season”. His LBA career was highlighted by a 56-point performance against Dohn Prep in Ohio. Cam also lead the team to the Harwood Classix Championship with key wins over Orangeville Prep and Royal Crown Prep.

For his efforts, he was the first LBA player to be chosen to the Canada Biosteel Game and be recognized as one of the Top 20 players in Canada

Cam gained an NCAA Division 1 scholarship to California State University at Northridge. He has a bright future in the game and LBA is proud to include Cam as one of our most talented alumni.
